BANISHER Recording Second Album
October 23, 2012Polish technical death metallers BANISHER are recording their second album, "Scarcity". The follow-up to 2010's "Slaughterhouse" will contain nine songs, including a bonus track — the death metal version of the "Benny Hill" theme.
In November, the band will enter Invent Sound Studio to record the drum parts and to mix and master the CD. The drums on the effort will be laid down by Lukasz "Lucass" Krzesiewicz, who has previously worked with such bands as SAMMATH NAUR, ESQUARIAL, CRIONICS and MELECHESH. Lucass will also join the band on the road as a session musician in the spring of 2013.
Commented BANISHER: "We've already recorded guitar and bass parts on the album.
"The music on 'Scarcity' has pretty much evolved since our first record. The songs are easier to listen, more experimental, well arranged and tight, yet still very brutal, technical and powerful. But most of all, they are perfect to play live. We are very satisfied with this stuff."
